Haiku #20 Winters Moon

A full moon in winter has a different quality to its light compared to other seasons. It wakes me more often but lights my way to the bathroom for the inevitable nightly visit!

“A winters full moon
Lights the landing with silver
My journey to pee”

  1. I remember those winter full moons. As a kid growing up on a farm where there were no lights anywhere except in the sky, the moonlight reflecting off the snow made the middle of the night bright as day. It was magic!

    • That must have been truly magical across a prairie. I guess the closest I got was in the Himalaya of Nepal with the moon above giant ice covered peaks.
