Today’s mindfulness quote combines FOUR essentials of Buddhism and Buddha’s Eightfold Path to improve our lives. First is the issue of morality and living a life guided by the Five Precepts. This is the foundation for mindfulness which can be practiced and developed during the third essential of meditation. Our meditation then can focus our attention on true reality creating understanding and wisdom, the fourth essential.
“As the reordering of our life, brought about by moral discipline, creates the environment for mindfulness, the stillness of mind created by meditation will make possible the examination of reality that is the hallmark of wisdom.”
Lama Jampa Thaye, \”Living by Meditation Alone\”
This is one of the most comprehensive mindfulness quotes I have seen. It clearly places mindfulness and meditation within a Buddhist context and can have a much deeper influence on our lives. What are you waiting for?
