Thank you. It is a place that should never be politicised in the modernist agenda of many who regularly attempt to rewrite history. We must never view the past against the values of today, the bravery and sacrifice of everyone who fought in that senseless conflict must never be forgotten.
I went there with my Grandfather. He left Belgium in 1944 leaving behind one child in a grave and bringing two with him.
It is a place that I will insure my children understand for peace is hard earned and never to be taken for granted.

It’s a very moving place, my dad fought in WW2 but not WW1. We visit every year.
