Postcard from England: #5 Chapel Down Vineyard

The Two Doctors On Tour

The South Coast of England-Chapel Down

The first day of our Tour’s second geographical area of England along the South Coast across Sussex and Kent up towards Greenwich.

As wine drinkers it would be impossible to tour the south coast of England without visiting a vineyard, despite what Marco Pierre White recently said about English wine …… prat! Now widely respected and winning global awards for their sparkling wines, Englands vineyards are growing a range of grape varieties that thrive in cooler northern climates and on the chalky limestone soils of this area such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc. Chapel Down is one of the best and is definitely worth a visit, free tastings, but wines are still not cheap due to small levels of production.  (The Two Doctors Tour of England overview)

    • Cheaper! But, I use MOLDIV if it interests you, an app on my iPad. It has a Magazine function which enables you to create magazine front covers or portrait or landscape or square format. You can alter standard text to suit.
