Blists Hill is an open air museum representing a Victorian town, recreated and opened in 1973. Previously a thriving industrial area in the 1800s and 1900s with brickworks, blast furnaces, tile works and a clay mine, it has been created from existing buildings, replica buildings, and actual buildings moved from elsewhere. I enjoy visiting places like this. We once visited Beamish Village in Northumbria which was a working museum. It really takes you back in time.
