Structure-Ancient & Modern
Structure defines shape, gives strength, and is a controller in the “man made world”. Much of my photography seeks out structure especially in architecture as we travel the world and I offer three contrasting examples from The Ancient World of Rome, A Victorian Museum in Oxford, and Modern Day Madrid Airport. We often walk through and around these places not noticing the important structures and their role. Which is your favourite?
The Ancient World

Roman aqueduct, Segovia, Spain
The Victorian World

Oxford University Museum of Natural History
The Modern Day World

Madrid airport

Segovia one of my favourite places in Spain – an Aqueduct, a Castle a Cathedral and a wonderful Plaza Mayor!

I thought you’d like that! It was one of our stunning day trips from Madrid exactly this time last year for our wedding anniversary.

We only spent one day, the next day visiting Toledo which we thought was awful!

I liked Toledo but not as much as Segovia. What didn’t you like about it?

I see we had similar tales on the theme! Nicely done.
