From USA Cities to Medieval English Churches

We are exhausted, worn out, drained! The three week Trans USA rail journey is to blame, a whirlwind of cities, national parks, hotels, trains, buses, rivers, architecture has taken its toll on us physically and mentally. Time for a period of rest and recuperation before our month in France exploring a few wine regions. Which reminded us of a pet theme of ours ….. “local travel” exploring the areas around where we all live in addition to travelling the globe. So here is a reminder of one of our earliest posts about the history that can be found by visiting some of the tiny medieval churches in England. Bubonic plague, lych gates, and even medieval PowerPoint presentations are all here in Churches As History Teachers So do spend less time dreaming about faraway places and spend more time enjoying what’s available where you live!
